Dr. Alicia Carroll brings her refined aesthetic eye and clinical expertise as an oculoplastic surgeon to Uptown Charlotte.
Before MD Boutique’s 2025 opening, she spent her career enhancing the natural beauty and function of the eyes and face through her practice – Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Center – located in Hickory, NC. In addition to her focus on corrective and cosmetic procedures for the eyes and face.
Establishing MD Boutique has allowed Dr. Carroll to expand her vision as a Modern Doctor to offer an experience guided by her precision as a surgeon, and her meticulous attention to detail.
As a proud alumna of Syracuse University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, she completed her fellowship with the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. Her career is illuminated with recognitions for her contributions to the field of medicine, and she cares for her community through her private practice, as a small business owner, and a patron and supporter of the arts community in Charlotte and Hickory.

Located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, MD Boutique offers a concierge experience by Dr. Alicia Carroll, an oculoplastic surgeon and owner of the luxury space. Referring to herself as a Modern Doctor, she puts the MD in MD Boutique.

Being in a highly specialized field, oculoplastic surgeons make up less than .5 percent of the medical physicians in the United States, according to statistics from the National Institutes of Health and the Association of American Medical Colleges.“Much of my career has focused on working with the face, particularly concentrating on the region around the eyes for the purposes of improved cosmetic enhancement and reconstructive surgery,” Carroll explains. “At MD Boutique, the work is about more than lifting brows and eyelids, our consultations are a creative collaboration. We are artisans who help our clients reach their goals.”
